Relaxation, acceptance, humor, open-mindedness, and the ability to be flexible and roll with the punches can make any difficult job easier to handle.
Parenting, as a job, is highly under-rated. It is a tough job. A parent is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A parent is responsible for every aspect of the child\’s life. Understand that there is no such thing as a perfection. In fact, every person you ask is going to have a different definition of a perfect parent. It is not an exact science and there are no technical manuals to master. Parenting is an experiential exercise. No matter what, rest assured, that every parent is doing the best that they can with the mental and physical resources at their disposal. Everyone is doing the best that they can in that single moment.
To do the job in the best possible fashion one needs to be a nurse, a teacher, a coach, a counselor, and an inspiration. We need to support the unique beauty that is innately born within our children and coax their true personalities to shine through despite the negativity in the outside world.
At best, our children thrive. At worst, they stagnate.
Everything we say or do can be encoded into the child in a way that reflects our deepest personalities. Our children can learn positive lessons from us or they can learn negative ones.
What do you want to teach them?
I hope you show them the best of you. If you do, you\’ll like what you see in them.
The following recordings contain hundreds of positive parenting affirmations designed to keep you in a positive, yet firm, parenting frame of mind. I\’ve also added a few suggestions pertaining to time management, playfulness, and most importantly….stress relief.
Wishing you the very best,
